DEVELOP FOR VARJO
Welcome to developer documentation for Varjo headsets!
You can develop experiences for the Varjo headset using the familiar 3D tools you use today that enable immersive experiences. Now they are simply adapted to work with the Varjo headset and human-eye resolution.
You can choose to develop for one of these platforms:
UNITY DEVELOPMENT
If you are familiar with Unity engine development, you can begin straight away. Follow the instructions for setting up new Unity project, or explore how to migrate your existing project to the Varjo headset. For easier hands-on practice, you can begin with running an example project that we supply with Unity plugin.
UNREAL DEVELOPMENT
For Unreal developers we offer multiple options in development varying by skill level. The simplest way to begin is by following the Quick Start guide, but there are other options for migration of your existing project. Examples are available for easier understanding and hands-on experience.
NATIVE SDK DEVELOPMENT
You can develop a Varjo project for custom engines – API endpoints are thoroughly documented and explain what you need to do to create your project. Examples are also supplied and are well documented in code.
MIXED REALITY DEVELOPMENT
If you are developing for XR-1 Developer Edition, navigate to the Mixed Reality section of the document. It explains all the differences between VR and MR development and guides you through best MR development practices.
All the generic information could be found on the Varjo website. You can find blogs, product information, news, and store from there.
Sections containing Getting started guide, Get to know your headset, FAQ, and Showcase downloadables can be found in the Use Center.
