This section explains how to use Varjo Plugin for Unreal with Unreal studio.
Download and install from the Steam page
Varjo Base Download
Epic Games Launcher Download
Open Epic Launcher.
Go to the Unreal Engine tab.
Install UE 4.23. Note, Unreal Datasmith is only supported up to Unreal Engine 4.23.
Install Unreal Datasmith Plugin from Epic Games Marketplace
Run Unreal Engine
From the New Project tab select Unreal Studio and create new project.
Disable SteamVR plugin from “Edit”->”Plugins”->”Built-in”->”Virtual Reality”
Download Varjo plugin for your version of Unreal Engine from Varjo Downloads page.
Unzip the downloaded zip file wherever you like.
Create a new folder in your project’s directory and name it as ‘Plugins’.
Copy your unzipped Varjo plugin to this newly created folder.
Close the project and start it again
From “Edit”->”Plugins”, From “Installed”->”Virtual Reality”, enable Varjo plugin. Press “Restart Now” to apply changes.
You can now run the Unreal Studio project with the Varjo headset.
